Gateway Annual General Meeting 2020


GATEWAY CO-OPERATIVE CREDIT UNION (2017) LIMITED 20 CHURCH STREET, MONTEGO BAY, ST. JAMES


NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN


That the THIRD (3rd) Annual General Meeting of the Gateway Co-operative Credit Union (2017) Limited will be held at the Hollis Peter Lynch Multi-Purpose Bldg. Holy Trinity Church Miriam Way Montego Bay on Wednesday November 25th, 2020 commencing at 4:30 p.m. for the purpose of adopting:


  1. The Credit Union’s Financial Statements for the year ended December 31, 2019 together with the reports of the Board of Directors, Treasurer, Credit Committee and Supervisory Committee.

  2. Considering and if thought fit, passing the following resolutions: (a) Relocation of the Credit Union’s Registered Office address. (b) Transfer of Investment Reserves to General Reserves.

  3. Amendments to the following Rules: (a) Article 111 Rule 5 (xi), Rule 6 (iv), Rule 12 (a) and Rule 12(d) – Application for Membership. (b) Article XII Rule 61 (V) –Filing of the Nomination Committee Report.

  4. To elect Volunteers to the Board of Directors, Credit and Supervisory Committees.

  5. To consider any other business which may properly be transacted at an Annual General Meeting.

Please note further:


Due to Covid-19 restrictions, only 110 members can be accommodated at this AGM. We therefore invite our members to pre-register to attend by sending an email to info@gatewayja.com or by sending a message via WhatsApp to 876-822-6439. Messages should be sent no later than Tuesday November 24 ,2020 at 12:00pm and should contain the following information: Name, Telephone Number, Place of Employment and Account Number. Upon receipt of request, members will receive a response to indicate their registration status.


In Keeping with the Government’s directives, the following protocols will be observed at this Annual General Meeting:


  • Members over 65 years of age should not attend this meeting; • Members without masks will not be admitted and mask should be worn for the duration of the meeting;

  • There should be no gathering of members before and after the meeting;

  • Persons with elevated temperature will not be allowed to enter the venue (37.3C or 99.3F and above)

  • Hand shaking is strictly prohibited

  • No children will be allowed
